"For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline."
2 Timothy 1:6 & 7
The Timothy Program is a student discipleship program for high school students ages 14 to 17 years old. It a two track program beginning with track one (Timothy 1) and finishing with track two (Timothy 2). The program, as a whole, is designed to encourage spiritual growth of high school students who desire to serve at summer camp and beyond into their local communities, through daily scripture reading, journaling, small group discussion and training sessions. Our goal is to provide learning opportunities that give practical work experience and ways to apply spiritual lessons to everyday life. Our hope is to invest in future staff members but also equip students for the work that Christ has set out for them in their home churches and communities. All Timothy students will be involved with small group discipleship throughout their program weeks. Our Timothy Leaders and Program Manager will be devoted to mentoring those in the program and will be leading the spiritual development sessions.
The Timothy 1 program is for students ages 14 & 15. Timothy 1 students will spend 3 weeks at camp during the summer, rotating each week working in three areas of camp: programming, maintenance and crew team. Each day Timothy 1's will spend parts of the day working in their assigned job duties and will also be participating in training sessions designed to encourage and equip them spiritually. There are two Timothy 1 sessions throughout the summer. Session One will run from June 18th-July 7th and Session Two will run from July 9th to July 28th. All Timothy 1 students are required to attend Staff Training Week (June 11th-16th) at the beginning of the summer regardless of which session they will be attending.
The Timothy 2 program is designed for students ages 16 & 17. The Timothy 2 session will run from June 18th to July 28th. Timothy 2 program is designed to fulfill support staffing roles for our summer programming and provide students with intentional discipleship training to encourage further spiritual growth. Timothy 2's will spend three weeks of the summer working in the dinning room, assisting the crew team. The other three weeks of their program will be spend focused on discipleship training and assisting in programming and maintenance areas of camp. All Timothy 2 students are required to attend Staff Training Week (June 11th-16th) at the beginning of the summer.
If you are a Church Leader that would like to recommend a student for the Timothy Program this summer please fill out and submit the Recommendation Form and we will then contact that student directly with information about the Timothy Program.
